Embudito Hike

A friend of mine and I took our kids on an afternoon hike in the foothills of the Sandia Mountain. It was wonderful and surprisingly green for the desert. We even found a very small waterfall. Albuquerque was voted the best city for outdoor recreation a couple of years ago. We had to climb over some really big boulders to get the end and I had to have some help given my current condition but I made it. As the summer progresses we will have to make morning hikes instead of the afternoon as it is getting very warm here.

Looks like fun. I am dying to go on a hike. One day I won't have this boot on my foot and I can slowly get back into life:) Proud of you for making the hike and getting your kids out there. I'm a bit jealous of the warmth- so not that warm here.

Glad you are taking advantage of everything there is to do - status will change once "Penny" arrives at least for a while. Then before you know it the kids will be big and have schedules of their own making it even harder to be spontaneous. Love you guys.
